Zev Krengel and Wendy Kahn met with Marlene Bethlehem, Commissioner, and the Chairperson and Vice-chairperson of the Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Commission.
David Saks chaired a meeting of the editorial board of the Jewish Affairs journal.
Alana Pugh-Jones, together with Benji Shulman from SAUJS, met with Serge Tshibangu at Wits University. Mr Tshibangu is the leader of the organization `Congo for Peace´ which has worked closely with SAUJS on various humanitarian and cultural activities. Congo for Peace is a politically non-aligned organization which seeks to raise awareness about issues facing Congolese people, both within the DRC and in the Diaspora. Ms Pugh-Jones and Mr Tshibangu discussed ways in which their respective organizations could assist each other on political and humanitarian lobbying issues.
Ms. Pugh-Jones attended a press conference by the Ford Foundation at the Westcliff Hotel. This focused on the issues facing the SADC Troika meeting currently underway, and was attended by leading figures in the SA and Zimbabwean civil society arena.

The Board organized a donation of clothes and groceries to the Zimbabwean refugees currently finding shelter at the Central Methodist Church in Johannesburg.
Cape :
The newly elected Executive of the Cape Council is: Chairman - Li Boiskin, Vice-Chairman - Rael Kaimowitz, Vice Chairman - Lawrence Miller, Treasurer - Joe Fintz, Ex Officio - Owen Futeran (immediate past Chairman), Ex Officio - Michael Bagraim (National President)
Lindy Diamond and Gwynne Robins attended an Ubuntu ORT meeting at the Belgian embassy addressed by Dr Ruth Rabinowitz.
Moonyeen Castle, Jonathan Silke and Mervyn Smith attended the Israeli Presidential Conference in Israel.
KwaZulu-Natal:
On 30 November Mary Kluk attended the Dept. of Arts & Culture colloquium on Social Cohesion which will afford stakeholders an opportunity to engage on national dialogue on social cohesion, national identity and nation-building.
