HERZLIA 70^th Anniversary CELEBRATIONS

Herzlia Heroes Cocktail Party was held on Thursday 18^th March.  The Chairman and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees hosted the event to thank and honour all those lay leaders who gave so generously of their time to make Herzlia the success that it is.

Celebrate 70 – a stage show starring Herzlians past and present.   Directed by Roxy Levy and her artistic team of Linda Gawronsky, Jacqui Kowen, Ivor Joffe, Aviva Pelham and Selwyn Shapiro.    This function will be held on Monday 31^st May at the CTICC Auditorium 1 at 5.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.  Tickets will be R120 for adults and R60 for scholars and are available through the PTAs, or contact Rynette Ritz on 021 464 3300 or rritz@herzlia.com.

HERZLIA EVENT WEEK from the 01 – 08 AUGUST. 

·        Alumni versus Pupils Debate – Tuesday 3^rd August – an exciting debate between the Herzlia debating team and some of our world class alumni.  For more information email Mark Helfrich on mhelfrich@herzlia.com.

·        Shul Services will be held at all shuls on Friday night 6^th August and Saturday morning 7^th August – services will be run jointly by the congregation and Herzlia Alumni.  This is being co-ordinated by the Jewish Studies Department of Herzlia.  Contact Goldie Norris on 464 3310  or gnorris@herzlia.com

·        Gala Dinner – Sunday night 8^th August – venue to be confirmed.  Tickets will be available through the schools PTA’s.  Details will be published at a later date.

 United Herzlia Schools 70^th AGM will be held on the 12 May 2010.          

Fan Park in the Middle School for the duration of the World Cup.   It will provide a safe and secure environment for Herzlians, parents and family to watch the World Cup, eat wonderful food and get into the vibe.

Herzlia is one of the jewels in the crown of the Cape Town Jewish Community.  Over 5500 pupils together with their parents have passed through our doors over the last 70 years.  Let us make this a year to remember.
