As many of you are aware, the Sunday Times on the 15 November carried an opinion piece by Steven Friedman on the Goldstone Report, which put forward a number of highly contentious arguments as well as being factually questionable in terms of what it both said and didn say.

Milton Shain, Professor of Modern Jewish History at the University of Cape Town, together with retired Professor Mike Berger, wrote an opinion piece in response to this article, taking issue with Friedmans controversial thesis.

The Sunday Times chose not to use this piece, and instead published letters that, in their own words, they believed reflected both sides of the issue.
