Jointly published by the SAJBD the Umoja Foundation, the book chronicles for the first time the varied roles of individual Jewish men and women in the life and career of Nelson Mandela, and the remarkable extent to which Jewish South Africans participated in the anti-apartheid struggle, and the nation building, reconstruction and reconciliation after apartheid’s demise.

Following a series of launch events around South Africa in the second half of 2011, Jewish Memories of Mandela  was launched in London on 11 May 2012, at an event co-hosted by the Jewish Leadership Council and the SAJBD. Find speeches, photos and videos from the UK launch here
